Lindy circle
Open position, a rock step, then the pair closes up and circles together around a shared centre. A classic connection exercise.

The Lindy circle appears in several Lindy Hop move catalogues as a close cousin of the Lindy turn; the difference is that the couple ends the move in closed position. Names and details vary between teachers, so treat this as one common version.
A connection and rotation exercise that comes just before the swing out: you practise staying connected while both of you travel around a shared centre.
- Practise the rock step in open position first and feel the stretch.
- Close the distance on the first triple, then stay connected while you circle.
- Think of a shared centre: both of you travel around it and neither pulls the other.
- Keep your steps small so the circle stays even.
